Vardit Kindler – Bobath related Curriculum Vitae

Vardit Kindler is a pediatric Occupational Therapist since 1975. She has
focused her clinical work with children with developmental delays mainly
Cerebral Palsy since 1991 when she took the position of directing
Occupational Therapy team in the Dvorah Agmon Preschool development
center in Jerusalem. The center caters to 100 children ages 3-7 with various
brain-based disorders and from different cultural backgrounds. Since
October 2019, Vardit has retired from directing the OT team and continues
consulting in various centers in Israel and has a private practice.
Vardit has an extensive educational background that is relevant to her
clinical work. She is considered a “Knowledge Broker” where by presenting
her work in various national and international conferences, courses and
workshops with a special emphasis on the value and importance of
collaborative and multidisciplinary team (including families) work.
Since 1995 is a member of European Bobath Tutors Association and as a
senior tutor teaches the Occupational Therapy contexts as they manifest in
the occupation of children with Cerebral Palsy and their therapists. As a
senior OT tutor, Vardit teaches On Basic Bobath, Baby and advanced
courses in Israel, Brazil and European countries. To date, Vardit has trained
five Bobath occupational therapists (two of them European) to become
Bobath tutors and at present training two more occupational therapists
(one from Europe and the other from Israel) to become Bobath tutors. As a
member of EBTA, Vardit participated in all (one of them via Zoom) general meetings since 1995, participated in five tutor’s workshops and twice led two tutors’ workshops.
Vardit is part of a team that by translating recent cerebral palsy
classifications from English into Hebrew and Arabic, made this valuable
knowledge accessible to all Israeli professional clinicians.
In 2002 Vardit contributed a section on adaptive play in the Encyclopedia

Vardit is an expert on combining the use of Assistive Technology for children with severe motor delay, visual limitations and/or with complex communication needs.
